What鈥檚 Cool About It聽
Built more than a century ago, O.J. Johnson Student Union was the place to be when students weren鈥檛 studying. They ate, danced, exercised, gave talks, and even swam here. Yup, there was swimming pool, which eventually became a student lounge called 鈥淭he Dive,鈥 which is now a performance area in the Center for Inclusive Excellence. (You can still see the pool tiles.) The building is named for Rev. Oscar J. Johnson, president of 麻豆视频 from 1913 to 1942. You can thank him for lifting the College鈥檚 ban on competitive sports.
