Prairie View Hall

Small Dorm. Big Rooms.

You’ll find sophomores, juniors, and seniors here. The smallest residence hall on campus, it has space for 59 residents. Each room is furnished with a bed, bed frame, mattress, desk, desk chair, and closet space for each resident. Beds may be bunked. There’s a communal lounge space and two study rooms. Prairie View also offers open-gender housing doubles. There’s no carpet but there is air conditioning.

What’s Cool About It

Talk about a central location. It’s just steps from Christ Chapel, Schaefer Fine Arts Building, Olin, Nobel, and Mattson Academic Halls. Built following the tornado of 1998, its first student residents had been living in the lounge areas of Sohre and Pittman Residence Halls. Because Prairie View is so small, students here tend to become a close-knit community. Did we mention the air conditioning?
