
International by Intention
The Crossroad Program and Swedish House (Svenska Huset) are residential programs within the Carlson International Center residence hall for 85 returning students, in suites or doubles. There’s a desk, desk chair, bed (mattress & frame), and closet space for each resident. Suites share a bathroom between four occupants. Crossroads and Swedish House placements require special application and selection.
What’s Cool About It
Crossroads Community has a large community room and kitchen where students have group cooking sessions to share food and culture. Having these two residences in the same building as the Center for International and Cultural Education creates a campus hub of international, multilingual, and intercultural activity.

- Occupancy: 75 residents (returning students) in the International Center (suite style & double rooms); 10 in the Swedish House.
- Hall amenities: Home to the Crossroads Community; large community room and kitchen as well as floor lounges, laundry room.
- Room amenities: Desk, desk chair, bed (mattress & frame), and closet space for each resident. Suites contain a bathroom for the four occupants. Beds (wooden frames) can be bunked. Lofting a bed requires rental from .
