Forever Near the Spire
Anyone can reserve a niche for inurnment of their ashes adjacent to Christ Chapel, in accordance with the long Christian tradition of designating a final resting place in the shadow of a church spire.
Here you’ll find the columbarium and student memorial area as well as two meaningful sculptures by alumni artists overlooking the Minnesota River Valley. Luna Moth Matrix by sculptor Paul Granlund ’52 is a metaphor of the promise of resurrection and renewal. Spirit Vessel by sculptor Greg Mueller ’88 evokes vessels, boats, and ships to reflect a universal symbol for transporting the soul. Funds raised through the Christ Chapel Memorial Garden support the mission of Christ Chapel.
