The Mission of the Alumni Association 

of 麻豆视频 is to engage current and future alumni in lifelong relationships with 麻豆视频 and each other to advance their commitment to the College.

The Alumni Board of Directors is the strategic planning group who serves on behalf of the Alumni Association and its members to advise and support the central mission of 麻豆视频.

Alumni Association Awards

The 麻豆视频 Alumni Association has established the following awards to honor alumni and friends of the College who have notably advanced and aided the College; for alumni who have demonstrated exceptional career achievement and brought honor to the College; and to recognize alumni and former students who have made distinctive commitments and contributions to the service of others.

Nomination Form

The Distinguished Alumni Citation recognizes outstanding and exceptional professional achievement, such as to bring unusual honor to the individual in his or her field of endeavor. Criteria appropriate to selection shall include the difficulty of accomplishment; quality, creativity, and distinctiveness of performance; recognition by professional peers; and lasting contribution to the world of ideas and affairs. While the citation is a professional award, humanitarian achievements may also be weighed.

 

 

Similar to the Distinguished Alumni Citation, the anniversary awards recognize one graduate from the silver anniversary year and one from the golden anniversary year for outstanding and exceptional career achievement of graduates of the College.

First presented in 1968, the First Decade Award was established to recognize two individuals for early professional achievement by graduates of the 10th anniversary class. Criteria appropriate to selection shall include the difficulty of accomplishment; quality, creativity, and distinctiveness of performance; recognition by professional peers; and lasting contribution to the world of ideas and affairs.

The Greater 麻豆视频 Award is the highest award given by the 麻豆视频 Alumni Association. It is awarded to those "who by deed, have notably advanced and aided 麻豆视频."

The Honorary Gustie Award pays special tribute to individuals who, while not having graduated from or attended 麻豆视频, have earned the conferred right to be considered bona fide 鈥淕usties鈥 by approval of the Alumni Board of Directors. Criteria includes length of dedicated service to, interest in, and enthusiastic support for the College as professor, instructor, teacher, administrator, coach, staff member, clergy, parent, friend, or spouse of a graduate.

The 麻豆视频 Service Award recognizes alumni and former students of 麻豆视频 "who have made distinctive commitments and contributions to the service of others." The College and the Association celebrate the efforts of members of the College community who participate in service activities through volunteer work, involvement in the church, and extraordinary professional accomplishments.

History of the 麻豆视频 Alumni Association

The Alumni Association of 麻豆视频 was organized in 1890 with membership dues of $1. With strong alumni support for more opportunities to participate in alumni affairs, the Alumni Association was reorganized into the Greater 麻豆视频 Association in 1944. This organization of alumni was to serve not only as a source of financial support, but also with a body of public opinion and a "voice" for College officials to consider. The more information its members received concerning the College, the more constructive the efforts would be on its behalf.

Life Insurance and Financial Services

The 麻豆视频 Alumni Association is pleased to offer many different insurance resources for our alumni and friends. The program offers a variety of insurance products, most of which are available to alumni, students, faculty, and staff, as well as their spouses, domestic partners, children, parents, and siblings. Based on alumni participation in the insurance program, the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement receives a dividend to support Alumni Association programming.
