Information Desk

The Campus Center Information Desk staff are here to welcome you to campus, provide directions, approve posters for the Campus Center and Student Union, reserve games and equipment, answer questions about Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and community events and resources, and more! 

Event Reservations and Support

  • Please plan your events in a timely manner; if you try to request a space close to your event date, it is possible the space will not be available and you will have to change your event location or date. Additionally, if the space is available on short notice, it’s likely that you will not be able to receive the technology or setup support you need.
  • Make sure you have a confirmed reservation before advertising for the event.
  • Please keep in mind that there may be other events taking place on the same day or time as yours that could affect your setup requests. There are limited staff in all event services (technology, facilities, and custodial) and they may have their hands full with other events.
  • Please make sure to request your technology and setup needs at least three weeks before your event.
  • Submit your request to the Reservation Request form (this form works to request any reservable space on campus)
    • To reserve a banquet room, use this form, including the St. Peter Room, the President’s Dining Room, the Heritage Room, and the Three Crowns Room.
  • Stop into the Campus Activities Office and speak to a staff member.
  • Who is the main contact for the event/meeting?
    • First, last name, and email address
  • Event Date, Time, & Location:
    • Have at least one date in mind for the event you’re planning. Have a second date in mind in case the date you wanted isn’t available.
    • Provide the start and end time of the event and if any extra time is needed for setup/takedown.
    • For outdoor events, make sure to book a rain location or rain date.
  • What tech services do you need?
    • Microphones (how many, wireless or wired, handheld or lavalier), sound system, projector screen(s), a tech or sound check and at what time.
  • What facilities or set-up services do you need?
    • Chairs (amount, setup style), tables (amount, size, and shape), stage (size and placement in the space), stage skirting, microphone stands, etc.
  • Are you planning to have dining/catering services?
    • Use this catering form to request any food, drinks, utensils, tablecloths, etc.
  • Do you need any custodial services?
    • If you are planning to have food at your event, request additional garbage, recycling, and compost bins at the time of your reservation.
    • For large events, a custodial bathroom reset/cleaning may be necessary.

Student groups hosting an off-campus guest or performer for an event should contact the Campus Activities Office staff to obtain the proper forms. There are a few required forms that must be signed by the Finance Office and the contracted person or group. 

Room Reservations

The Campus Activities Office manages reservations for Alumni Hall, Courtyard Cafe, Johns Family Courtyard, Eckman Mall, and tabling in the Campus Center. Stop by the Campus Center Information Desk or complete a reservation request form.

Game and Equipment Rentals

To reserve the photo booth, popcorn machine, bingo, yard games, board games, puzzles, and more, please submit your requests online through this or stop by the Information Desk or Campus Activities Office.

  • Requests for rentals are preferred at least 72 hours in advance to ensure availability.
  • Once your request has been received, you will receive a confirmation email if the items and/or equipment are available and to verify pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Students must have a Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ ID to check out any games, equipment, or supplies and we will ask to keep something from you in order to get our items back.
  • If items are not returned or not cleaned properly, after multiple attempts of contact, you will personally be charged a fee to replace or clean the item(s).

  • Popcorn machine (reservable to recognized student organizations and Student Life offices only)

  • Team-building and conversational games
  • Outdoor Games: Giant Jenga, Bean Bags, Bocce Ball, Spikeball, Kuub, 9-Square-in-the-air, Crossnet, Giant Connect 4
  • Art Supplies: markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, rulers, etc.
  • ID Card Scanners (8)
  • Wheelchair (1)
  • Large A-frame sandwich boards (3)

Poster & Flier Approvals

The Campus Center Information Desk employees must stamp and approve all posters in the Jackson Campus Center and Student Union. In the Campus Center and Student Union, there are several bulletin boards and bulletin strips for on-campus posters and two boards for posters for non-campus groups. 

  • Eight (8) posters per on-campus event are allowed to be posted in the Campus Center or Student Union and must be stamped and approved.
  • The Campus Activities Office will keep one poster for our records.
  • Posters or fliers are not allowed to be displayed, taped, or placed anywhere else besides bulletin boards/strips and designated windows (for example: fliers are not allowed to be placed on tables in the Campus Center or Student Union).

Transportation and Shuttle Information

The Gus Bus

The Gus Bus is a service that is funded by the Student Senate that provides free transportation for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students. The Gus Bus runs Fridays and Saturdays offering rides to students around St. Peter from designated pick-up and drop-off locations. 

Hours of Operation
Friday & Saturday: 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. Stops taking calls at 1:45 a.m.

How to Use the Gus Bus
In order to use the Gus Bus, all you need to do is dial (888) 880-4696 and request a ride from a designated pick-up location to a designated drop off location. Rides to or from a location other than the ones listed below are not available unless the driver agrees, done so at their own discretion, to deviate from the route for a student’s needs.

Minnesota River Valley Transit

Minnesota River Valley Transit (MRVT) is a Dial-a-Ride (DAR) only transportation service in the cities of Saint Peter, Le Sueur, and Kasota. Call for a same day ride or to schedule a ride up to two weeks in advance at (888)-880-4696. 

Cash only is accepted on the bus or you may call MRVT at (888)-880-4696 to set up an EZ Pay account to pay in advance with a credit or debit card. 

MVRT's Dial-a-Ride bus service is available during the following hours:

Saint Peter Service Hours:
6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday - Friday
9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday

Le Sueur Service Hours: 
7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday - Friday

Kasota Service Hours:
6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Friday
9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Saturday

Legal Holidays with NO Bus Service:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

True Transit

Booking a Ride

True Transit operates Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. You can or by calling (800)-560-1575.

Rides must be booked by 12 p.m. one business day in advance, but you can book up to one month in advance. Passengers choose their pickup and drop off location as well as desired times. Please be prepared 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up time; the bus will not wait longer than 3 minutes.

If you are needing a ride that falls outside of the aforementioned times or have other questions, please contact or call (507)-388-8783.

Payment & Fees:
Passenger fares are $5.00 one-way to travel anywhere in Blue Earth, Nicollet, or Le Sueur Counties. They do not provide transportation within Mankato, North Mankato, Saint Peter, or Le Sueur, only into or out of these cities. You can pay in advance or on the bus with cash only with exact change, the drive cannot make change. To pay in advance with a credit or debit card, call (507)-388-8783 Monday-Friday between 8am - 5pm. You can also Your fare will be deducted from your account each time you ride. Once you have created an account, you will need to call (507)-388-8783 for your activation code.

Accessibility
Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or blind may call Minnesota Relay at (800)-627-3529.
All buses have mobility lifts for those who need it. 

Cancellation
If you need to cancel your trip, please contact True Transit ASAP and no later than two hours before your scheduled pick-up time or you will be recorded as a no-show which may result in a suspension from this service. 

Weather Storm Closings
True Transit will not operate during dangerous weather. If the service closes, it will be announced on local radio stations and posted on their website and Facebook page. 

Holidays with NO Bus Service
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, or Christmas Day.

Land to Air Express

Highway 169 Connection/Southern MN Connection and MSP Airport Shuttle offers services from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ or the Saint Peter Food Co-op to and from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and other select locations. Each shuttle offers comfortable seating, complimentary Wi-Fi, free charging outlets, one free carry-on, two free checked bags, and is ADA/Wheelchair Accessible.

  • Board the shuttle at 3 Flags on campus near the Jackson Campus Center
  • Ensure that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure to ensure the prompt loading of your luggage, among other necessary preparations.
  • Book your seat early for weekend or holiday travel
  • Visit the Twin Cities for events such as:
    • Sports games at Target Field, US Bank Stadium, TCF Bank Stadium, Target Center Excel Energy Center, or Allianz Field
    • Music concerts at the Excel Energy Center, Target Center, First Ave, or Minnesota Orchestra
    • Broadway plays at The Orpheum or Guthrie Theater The information above can be found on the Land to Air Express website .

You do not need to be going on an airline to ride Mankato Land to Air Express. They will also take you to the airport where many other forms of transportation are available. 

From the lower level of the airport's main terminal, there are Jefferson and Greyhound bus services available as well as a limo service to various parts of the state including: St. Cloud, Willmar, Eau Claire, and around the Minneapolis and St. Paul area.
