Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) explore the complexities of the living world on a molecular level. This interdisciplinary program is for students interested in the intersection of chemistry and biology, including biochemistry, bioinformatics, biophysics, genetics, cell biology, and pharmacology. One of the longest-standing biochemistry and molecular biology programs in the Midwest, students learn in lab-centered courses. These hands-on experiences develop independence and sophistication to create top-level experimental scientists.
