PublicOverview
Co-curated by Art History majors Nora Birkholz (’27), Chloë Rossow (’26), and Audrey Power Theisen (’25) with the support of Colleen Stockmann, Assistant Professor of Art History & Arts Entrepreneurship. On view through Dec. 19.
Farm to Frame traces sweet and unsavory connections between food, labor, culture, craft, and community. Explore the often invisible processes of food production and preparation through a Cup’ik fishing basket or a Swedish hand-crank coffee mill. This exhibition invites you to indulge your senses through interactive dioramas and over 100 objects spanning 5 continents, from hand-carved utensils to still life paintings.Â
Hillstrom Museum of Art is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, or by appointment. It is NOT open during Thanksgiving Break (Nov. 26, 27, and 28). Contact Dr. Stockmann with any questions or to schedule a field trip for your group or class: cstockmann [at] gustavus.edu (cstockmann[at]gustavus[dot]edu).
Funding from the supporting object-based research on campus.Â
