So Young Park teaches courses in nineteenth- and early twentieth-century British literature, film studies, and East Asian cinema. She received her Ph.D. from the department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University in New York. Her research encompasses Victorian studies, especially women writer-artists of the 1890s, as well as Korean popular culture. Recent publications include an essay on the Irish poet and artist Dora Sigerson Shorter in Extraordinary Aesthetes: Fin-de-Siecle Writing and the Cultures of Aestheticism (edited by J. Bristow, U. of Toronto Press, 2023).
