Music Scholarship Overview

Music scholarships at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ support students who wish to continue their involvement in music, regardless of their major or minor. These scholarships vary in name, amount, and competitiveness based on your musical talents and those of other applicants. Awards include: 

  • Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Music Scholarship: Up to $2,000 annually ($8,000 over four years)
  • Bjorling Music Scholarship: Up to $4,000 annually ($16,000 over four years)
  • Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Select Music Scholarship: $12,500 annually ($50,000 over four years)
  • Categories: Jazz, Band, Orchestra, Choir, Keyboard, and Future Music Educators
  • Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Premier Music Scholarship: $25,000 annually ($100,000 over four years) 

Students may be considered for multiple awards based on their performance area and application strength.

To Apply

For full consideration, apply for the music scholarship by the Priority Deadline of November 8. If you apply after receiving a financial aid offer, your overall offer may be adjusted.  

To Audition

Submit your virtual audition on your Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Applicant Portal by sharing a link to an UNLISTED YouTube video recording of your performance. Auditions will consist of two contrasting pieces by different composers, totaling not more than ten minutes, that demonstrate expressive and technical skills.


 

To Maintain

Renewal of the scholarship requires participation in music lessons and a department approved performing ensemble (listed below).

Vocal: Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Choir, Chapel Choir, Lucia Singers

Band: Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Wind Orchestra, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Wind Symphony

Orchestra: Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra (string orchestra)

Jazz: Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Jazz Ensemble, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Jazz Ensemble

Applicants will receive communication from the Music Department Chair after they have chosen Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
