Turning Off LDAP in Thunderbird

On campus at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Thunderbird is typically configured to use the LDAP server to look up gustavus addresses when composing messages. This feature will populate the To: field with matches (from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ system) when you begin typing an email address. To configure Thunderbird to use LDAP see Configuring LDAP with Thunderbird

This feature needs to be turned off if a machine (laptop) goes off campus, as access to the LDAP from off campus is blocked by a firewall.
