Norton Ghost

Norton Ghost is a disk cloning software program that was purchased by Symantec in 1998. Ghost is being marketed as a backup program. It comes with an ISO file that needs to be written to a CD. This provides a useful means of performing a full system recovery.

Cascades

Norton ghost is used when performing a cascade.

When looking to copy a current hard drive to another hard drive using Norton Ghost, one must:

  1. Insert the empty hard drive into the computer and then use Norton Ghost.
  2. If there are not enough slots, then they could remove their CD Drive temporarily, if there is one or it is possible, to replicate the hard drive.
