Multimedia Classroom Troubleshooting
Things to Know
- Pushing buttons on the actual projector will do nothing. All of the controls are run through the Extron box in the cart.
- When adjusting the volume, when you see a red light - it is at its maximum volume.
- In most of the classrooms, there is no main power switch for the entire cart. They should all have direct power to the cart. The exceptions are in Confer 127 and 128.
- Most of the classrooms have laptop hookups. If the Extron box does not have a laptop input, it will be the lower right hand side button.
- Please do not move the cart. All of the wires will be ripped out of the devices they are connected to, resulting in damage to the equipment.
- If the ON light on the projector is red, it means it is in Standby mode.
Projector Turning Off
- The projector will turn off after 90 minutes of not pushing a button on the Extron box. If you have a DVD/tape that lasts longer, sometime before 90 minutes, please press the VCR input button on the Extron box again.
- All of the classrooms have motion sensors, and if there is no movement in the room for 20 minutes, the projectors will turn off.
- You can tell if the projector is in cool-down mode if the ON light on the projector is blinking green. This cool-down cycle should last no longer than 5 minutes.
