Personal digital assistant
A personal digital assistant (PDA) is a hand held computer that was primarily designed as a personal organizer (contacts, calendar, and notes) but has become more advanced in recent years. Many PDAs now incorporate internet, video, and office applications commonly found on desktop computers such as the Apple iPhone.
Incoming mail
Incoming mail server settings for PDAs are very much like the incoming mail server settings on any computer. Using imap.gac.edu and making sure to connect through SSL (which should change the port automatically) are key in this part of the set up.
Outgoing mail
Most PDAs today, should utilize our normal e-mail outgoing server settings. (smtp-auth.gac.edu) using SSL.
