Locker

Locker is a file server used by classes and departments to share files.

Important Note: All files on locker are erased at the end of the semester.


On-Campus access

Windows 7

  1. From the Start Menu, select Computer
  2. From the toolbar at the top of the window, select Map Network Drive
  3. Input the following information:
    1. Drive: L
    2. Under Folder enter: \\locker.gac.edu\space
    3. Check "Reconnect at logon"
    4. Click on "Connect using a different user name"
    5. Click on Finish
    6. When prompted, input your 鶹Ƶ username(gustie\yourusername) and password

Windows 8/10

  1. From the Start Screen start typing Computer
  2. Right Click on Computer and select Map Network Drive from the list of options on the bottom
  3. Input the following information:
    1. Drive: L
    2. Under Folder enter: \\locker.gac.edu\space
    3. Check "Reconnect at logon"
    4. Click on "Connect using a different user name"
    5. Click on Finish
    6. When prompted, input your 鶹Ƶ username(gustie\yourusername) and password

Your L drive will now be mounted and should automatically mount each time you log in. You can access your L drive by selecting My Computer from the Start Menu and double clicking the correct volume.

If you have problems connecting, do the following:

Change the Settings

  1. Press the Windows key (between Ctrl and Alt keys) and then the "R" key. A run dialog box will appear.
  2. Type "secpol.msc" (sans quotes) and press Enter
    1. Expand Local Policies
    2. Click on Security Options
    3. Double-click on "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level"
      1. Change setting from "Send NTLMv2 response only" to "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated". Click OK

You may need to reboot for this setting to take affect.

macOS

  1. From the Finder, select Connect to Server from the Go menu
  2. Type smb://locker.gac.edu in the text box along the bottom. Click the Connect button.
  3. When prompted, enter your username and password
  4. Choose space from the list that appears

Mac OS 10.7

  1. From the Finder, select Connect to Server from the Go menu
  2. Type smb://locker.gac.edu in the text box along the bottom. Click the Connect button.
  3. When prompted, enter your username and password
  4. Choose space from the list that appears

Off-campus access

You can use the Virtual Lab to access locker from off campus.
