Student Account Creation and Activation
- Log in.
- New users wishing to activate their accounts first log in on the single sign-on and are directed to the Activation pages. They can also visit /activate
- Technology Guidelines
- After logging in un-activated accounts are directed to the Technology Guidelines page. They must read the guidelines, and check the Yes, I read the guidelines and found them very insightful.
- Contact Information
- After reading the Technology Guidelines the user must submit contact information. Some fields are auto-filled.
- Emergency Contact Information
- Next users will be asked to supply Emergency Contact Information. They are required to have at least one Emergency Contact person.
- Password Changing
- The final step of the activation process the user must choose a new password. The normal rules for passwords are in effect. After typing their new password twice, they will get a confirmation.
- Click change your password
- Then change your password (follow the rules)
- If you don't follow the rules you will see the following. You MUST follow the rules to change your password, so if you see this you will need to select a different password.
- After you have changed your password, follow the link back to the activation page.
- Click "Activate my account"
- Once everything is green you are done! It will say "Account activated."
