A browser cache is a feature built into web browsers that caches web documents in order to reduce bandwidth usage, server load, and perceived "lag".

Clearing browser cache
Firefox 3
To clear your browser cache in the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, perform the following steps:
- Go to Tools--> Clear Private Data
- Or, hit Ctrl+Shift+Del
Firefox 2
To clear your browser cache in Mozilla Firefox, perform the following steps:
- Go to Tools-->Options.
- In options, click on the "privacy" icon.
- Under "Private Data", click "Clear Now".
- Click "Clear Private Data Now".
Google Chrome
To clear your browser cache in Google Chrome, perform the following steps:
- Click Chrome at the top left of the screen
- Select **"Clear browsing data..."**
- Make sure **"Empty the cache"** is checked
- Select a time period from the "Clear data from this period" drop-down box
- Click the **"Clear Browsing Data"** button
Internet Explorer 7
To clear your browser cache in Internet Explorer 7, perform the following steps:
- Go to Tools-->Internet Options.
- In the "General" tab in the "Browsing history" section:
- Click "Delete."
- Click "Delete files", then click "Yes."
- Click "Delete cookies", then click "Yes."
- Click "Close."
Internet Explorer 6
To clear your browser cache in Internet Explorer 6, perform the following steps:
- Go to Tools-->Internet Options.
- In the "General" tab in the "Temporary Internet Files" section.
- Click "Delete Cookies."
- Click "Delete Files", then click OK.
Safari
To clear your browser cache in Safari, perform the following steps:
- Go to the Safari menu.
- Then click on the Reset Safari.
- Click "remove all website data."
- Then click "Reset."
