E-mail attachment
Revision as of 17:37, 7 December 2006 by Rrud(talk | contribs)(E-mailattachment moved to E-mail attachment: Because we use spaces 'round here.)

If you're not able to send an e-mail (with or without attachments) make sure:

1) You're not over your disk space quota. An e-mail will usually be sent out when you are over your disk space quota but if you want an exact amount you can veiw that by going to the 鶹Ƶ Technology Services homepage (www.gustavus.edu/gts) and going to the account tools section. Under the account tools section, click on "Check Disk Usage." If you're unable to do this, contact Helpline at x6111.

2) The attachment that you're trying to send isn't too large. If you are trying to send it as an attachment and it doesn't work, try sending it as a link instead. To send an attachment as a link when using Web Mail, go to the bottom of you Message Composition page. There will be an area that asks the question, "Link Attachments?" Select Yes. This will cause the attachment to be saved on the network and will cause fewer problems when sending.

3) You are using an internet browser that fits your needs. If you are using Interenet Explorer and it's not allowing you to send your e-mail with an attachment, try sending it through the internet browser, Firefox (you can get this at www.getfirefox.com). If you're using Firefox and it's not allowing you to send the e-mail with an attachment, try using Internet Explorer.

If you have any further questions regarding sending an e-mail with or without an attachment, please contact the Technology Helpline at x6111.
