Spyware, or software used to gather personal information without the user's knowledge, is a problem for computer users. It can cause computers to run slowly, produce large amounts of network traffic, and cause programs to crash. An extensive is available.
To remove Spyware, Technology Services recommends downloading Ad-aware from Lavasoft. This program is free for personal use. Once you have installed Ad-aware, click the Check for updates now link within the program to update the Spyware reference file. Click the Start button to begin scanning for Spyware. If any is found, quarantine it, reboot your computer and scan again. You should scan your computer regularly for Spyware as well as Viruses.
