How do I tell if my computer is 32-bit or 64-bit?
Windows 10:
- Click the Start button in the bottom left
- Click on Settings
- Click on System
- Click on About and it will show you if you are 32-bit or 64-bit right next to 'System Type'
Why does it matter?
- Software is made specifically for each system type. You cannot run 64-bit software on a 32-bit OS, and it is not recommended to run 32-bit software on a 64-bit OS.
