A service pack (SP) is generally a Windows operating system term that means a collection of updates, which usually is a substantial update to the operating system.

How do I know if I have the most up-to-date service pack installed?

  1. Click the Start button
  2. Right click Computer
  3. Click Properties
  4. Under the Windows edition heading, the 3rd line down will let you know.
