Wired and Wireless Networks

Guests of the College are allowed limited access to the Internet through a web based registration process. Wireless access is available throughout campus, and wired and wireless access is available in the Residence Halls.

Registration Process

To begin registration, connect to the GustieGuest wireless network, launch a web browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari). Your web browser will redirect you to a series of registration pages. Follow the prompts.

Troubleshooting Guest Access

Thousands of guests have registered their computers and have used our guest network. Occasionally users need additional help with registration. The Technology Helpline is available to help troubleshoot. Please call the Technology Helpline at x6111 or stop by the First Floor of Olin Hall. The Technology Helpline is only allowed to offer limited support to non-college owned equipment.

Limited Support Guidelines

Check GReg Registrations
Restart Computer
Check Device Manager
Make sure wireless card is enabled and working
Check hardware
verify wireless turned on
Check for static IP
TCP/IP Properties Configuration
Check IP that machine is obtaining
Wireless Management Utility
Make sure Networks show up
Try joining other networks
Make sure user knows how to select networks and join them
