Manually Creating a New Account in Mobile Apple Mail For iPhone & iPod Touch Use these instructions only if you have not synced your mail settings.

Creating new account

1. Select "Settings" on the home screen of your iPhone or iPod Touch

Basic account settings

5. A page with account information fields appears Fill out the information fields as follows:

Account information Name: Enter your full name as you would like it to appear on the messages that you send. Address: Enter your full email address i.e. johndoe@gac.edu Description: Name your account something descriptive such as "GAC e-mail". Incoming Mail Server Host Name: imap.gac.edu User Name: yourusername i.e. johndoe Password: your email password Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Host Name: smtp-auth.gac.edu User Name: yourusername i.e. same as "User Name" above Password: your email password i.e. same as "Password" from above
