The megabit is a unit of data measurement. It can also be abbreviated as Mbit or Mb.
1 megabit = 1,000,000 bits which is equal to 125,000 bytes or 125 kilobytes.
Megabits commonly describe data transfer rates associated with computer network speeds. In this context transfer rates would be measured in megabits per second (commonly abbreviated as Mbps or Mb/s).
