Norton Ghost is a disk cloning software program that was purchased by Symantec in 1998. Ghost is being marketed as a backup program. It comes with an ISO file that needs to be written to a CD. This provides a useful means of performing a full system recovery.
When looking to copy a current hard drive to another hard drive using Norton Ghost, one must:
- Insert the empty hard drive into the computer and then use Norton Ghost.
- If there are not enough slots, then they could remove their CD Drive temporarily, if there is one or it is possible, to replicate the hard drive.
