LDAP Settings will allow you to populate your email client of choice with the 鶹Ƶ Address book. This is not automatically configured on mail clients such as Thunderbird or MacMail but can be enabled by following the steps listed below.

General Settings
Hostname/Server Address: ldap.gac.edu
Base DN/Search Base: ou=people, dc=gac, dc=edu
Port Number: 389
Specifics for MacMail (Mavericks and Yosemite Users)
- Open System Preferences
- Click on Internet Accounts
- Click the '+' symbol in the lower left hand corner
- Click 'Add Other Account'
- Choose Add an LDAP Account
- Put in information listed above
Specifics for MacMail (Non-Mavericks Users)
- Open Mail
- Choose Preferences from the Mail menu
- Click composing in the toolbar
- Be sure that the checkbox is selected for "Lookup addresses in network directories"
- Click Edit Server List
- Click Add Server
- Put in information listed above
Specifics For Mac Users Using Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird
- Choose Preferences from the Thunderbird menu
- Click on Addressing
- Click the box next to Directory Server and then choose Edit Directories
- Click 'Add'
- Put in Information listed above and click Okay
- From the drop down menu next to Edit Directories choose the new LDAP account
Specifics for PC Users Using Thunderbird
- Go to Tools --> Account Settings.
- In options, click on composition and addressing.
- Click on use a different LDAP server and click edit directories.
- There you will need to click "add" and put in the settings displayed in the picture.
- Also go to Tools --> Options and under the Composition tab check the Directory Server: box and select ldap.gac.edu
