Long distance direct dial calls may be placed from a student phone by using an [[Authorization Code]]. Office phones do not require an [[Authorization Code]]. To place a long distance call:

   1. Dial 9 + 1 + area code + number.
   2. Wait for confirmation tone.
   3. Enter [[Authorization Code]] - students only. 

To place an international call:

   1. Dial 9 + 011 + country code + city code + number.
   2. Press the pound (#) key.
   3. Wait for confirmation tone.
   4. Enter [[Authorization Code]] - students only. 

To place a call with a calling card:

   1. Dial 9 + 0 + area code + number.
   2. Wait for "Bong tone".
   3. Enter calling card number.
