== Microsoft has changed how they make Microsoft Office available == 
Microsoft has recently changed the way they make their Office Product available to faculty and staff. The Home Use Program (HUP) allows �鶹��Ƶ employees who have Office installed on their office machine the option of using the same software on one personally owned machine for a minimal price ($9.95).

The process has been simplified to receive the Office Suite at a minimal cost and can be done mostly online. To start the process simply visit the following website and agree to the terms agreement /forms/hup. Once you are verified as an eligible employee of �鶹��Ƶ you will receive an e-mail from hup.us@digitalriver.com. At this point qualified Faculty, Administrators and Staff will deal only with Microsoft in order to acquire the Office software they want for their home computer. ''From now on, GTS will no longer provide discs for Microsoft Office for home use.''

The products available today are Office 2013 Professional Plus Edition for Windows, or Office 2011 for Mac, both with optional language packs. ''Please note: Files created in Office 2010 for Windows and 2011 for the Mac are in the same file format as files created in Office 2007 for Windows and Office 2008 for the Mac.''


== Who is eligible? ==
All full-time �鶹��Ƶ �鶹��Ƶ faculty, administrators or staff member are eligible for one copy of Office for use on a home computer if he or she: 
* is the primary user of a College-owned computer that has Office on it (in any version);
* continues to be employed by �鶹��Ƶ.



== The ordering process ==
This ordering/download/install process will work best if done from the home computer on which Office is to be installed, and which has a broadband connection to the Internet.

  <li>Look in your �鶹��Ƶ mail account for an e-mail from hup.us@digitalriver.com.<br/>

  <li>Click on the "Buy Now" link in the e-mail.</li>
  <li>Follow the remaining steps to purchase your copy of Office. If at any point and time you are asked for your �鶹��Ƶ e-mail make sure you use yourusername@gustavus.edu.</li>
