Celebrating Women & Being a Light in the World

The Friends of the Library-Â鶹ÊÓƵ Library Associated is delighted to announce a new St. Lucia Fika breakfast happening from 10 - 11:15 a.m. in Alumni Hall. The event will feature a light breakfast and reflections from two amazing women leaders, Lupe Olague, our 2023 St. Lucia, and Â鶹ÊÓƵ Provost Brenda Kelly.

The Lucia Festival will continue with a Chapel service at 11:30 a.m. in Christ Chapel. The student organizers of the Chapel service are partnering with Â鶹ÊÓƵ Women in Leadership in planning a celebration that brings out themes of the Lucia story of lifting women up and honoring people who are lights in the world. The Lucia service will continue to have the Lucia Court and reading of the Lucia legend and will now include time to participate in a service project, Swedish treats, and socializing.

St. Lucia Fika Tickets: $15 per person. Tickets will not be mailed. Check in at the door. There will not be assigned seating. No refunds are available, however a change in attendee name is possible. Contact Tricia Stenberg with questions, triciastenberg@gustavus.edu or 507-933-7539.
