Move into your Residence Hall 

8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Norelius or Pittman Residence Halls
Stop by tables at your residence hall for your Residential Life welcome packet/keys. 

New Student Check-In

8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Information Desk, Jackson Campus Center 
Gather your Student ID, Orientation Schedule, and necessary information for the next three days. 

First-Generation Family Welcome

9:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Center for Inclusive Excellence, Johnson Student Union
First in your family to attend college? Drop by with your family to connect with current first-gen students, staff, and faculty. You'll leave with new friends, expert insights, and free swag!

Family Legacy Pictures

10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Tent near the north side of Old Main  
From a family with Gusties? Stop by with your student(s) and any alumni family members; Alumni and Parent Engagement will snap a photo of you. 

Convocation for New Students and Families

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Christ Chapel  
A ceremonial welcome and presentation of the entering class. Dress is casual.

Time for families to depart. Thank you for the support and hard work that made this day possible!

Norelius Hall Section Meet-Up for Lunch

12:45 p.m. Outside of Christ Chapel 
Join your Collegiate Fellow and other class of 2029 section-mates to meet one another and create connections. Then, head over to the Evelyn Young Dining Room together.

Pittman Hall Floor Meet-Up for Lunch

1 p.m. Outside of Christ Chapel 
Join your Collegiate Fellow and other class of 2029 section-mates to meet one another and create connections. Then, head over to the Evelyn Young Dining Room together.

Residence Hall Room Set-Up

2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Join your roommate to unpack your belongings, decorate your room, and get settled before the rest of the weekend's activities.

Orientation Group Meet-Up

4:30 p.m. Join your Gustie Greeter and other class of 2029 classmates to meet one another, create connections, and review the orientation schedule. Refer to your Orientation Group assignment.

5:30 p.m.  Groups 1-18:  Dinner with Orientation Group  Evelyn Young Dining Room, Jackson Campus Center

5:30 p.m. Groups 19-36:  “Can I Kiss You?” Cec Eckhoff Alumni Hall, Johnson Student Union 
One of the most inclusive and sought-after programs for providing specific how-to skills for teaching consent, respect in relationships, bystander intervention, and addressing sexual assault.

Meet and interact with the Residential Life staff and fellow floor/section residents to learn about and discuss issues relevant to living on campus.

Join CAB for a night of hypnosis and laughter with Reed Tate, a comedic hypnotist. You'll leave amazed!
