New Student Check-In
8 a.m. 鈥 4 p.m. Information Desk, Jackson Campus Center
Gather your Student ID, Orientation Schedule, and necessary information for the next three days.
First-Generation Family Welcome
9:30 a.m. 鈥 11:15 a.m. Center for Inclusive Excellence, Johnson Student Union
First in your family to attend college? Drop by with your family to connect with current first-gen students, staff, and faculty. You'll leave with new friends, expert insights, and free swag!
Family Legacy Pictures

From a family with Gusties? Stop by with your student(s) and any alumni family members; Alumni and Parent Engagement will snap a photo of you.
Convocation for New Students and Families
11:30 a.m. 鈥 12:30 p.m. Christ Chapel
A ceremonial welcome and presentation of the entering class. Dress is casual.

Join your Collegiate Fellow and other class of 2029 section-mates to meet one another and create connections. Then, head over to the Evelyn Young Dining Room together.

Residence Hall Room Set-Up
2 p.m. 鈥 5 p.m. Join your roommate to unpack your belongings, decorate your room, and get settled before the rest of the weekend's activities.
Orientation Group Meet-Up
4:30 p.m. Join your Gustie Greeter and other class of 2029 classmates to meet one another, create connections, and review the orientation schedule. Refer to your Orientation Group assignment.
