Announcement: Thrive Leadership Academy applications due September 10

Description

President Bergman and the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Office of Human Resources invite interest for participation in a new leadership development program called Thrive Leadership Academy! This year-long program (six sessions, October-May) will provide learning and reflection in individual, team, and organizational dimensions of leadership. If you are interested in growing your leadership capacity at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, please submit yourself for consideration!

Applications are due by Sunday, September 10, 2023. Invitations for 2023-24 cohort (12 members) will be made shortly thereafter; applicants not selected this year may be considered for future cohorts.

Profile for Thrive Leadership Academy Participants:

  • Has been at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ a minimum of one year, with preference for participants with 3-7 years of experience in the early years of program implementation

  • High potential (as evidenced by strong performance evaluations)

  • Must consistently demonstrate Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ core values

  • Interest in collaborating with other colleagues, desire to positively impact the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ community, and proven to be passionate about career growth 

  • Ability to commit to year-long program

  • Demonstrates confidence, resilience, strong interpersonal skills, and personal maturity

  • Persistent in seeking out new tasks, projects, and opportunities to grow as a leader

  • Exhibits leadership capability, including emerging capacity to resolve conflict, exert influence, and motivate others, with or without authority

  • Experience supervising others preferred but not required

Upon completion of the program, participants will:

  1. Develop a deeper sense of purpose as it relates to their current role at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and explore how vocational discernment impacts their path to leadership at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and beyond.

  2. Articulate their strengths, dispositions, and tendencies as leaders and understand how they relate to their personal leadership philosophy and style.

  3. Utilize leadership best practices to maximize their effectiveness in leading within their teams and across campus.

  4. Gain critical insights into organizational-level leadership at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and how employees throughout the organization connect to the mission of the institution.
