Student Leadership Day (for High School Youth) at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ on April 9April 9, 2011All day
For the third consecutive year, Student Leadership Day will be held at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, welcoming high school student leaders and potential prospects in grades 8-11, as well as youth directors, for a day of leadership development that will help participants consider what leadership is, ways to lead, to work with Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ student facilitators and develop an understanding of themselves as leaders in their congregations and communities. Tiger McLuen of Youth Leadership will keynote and will also lead training. A special afternoon workshop led by Richard Leider and Larry Spears, "Discovering the Essence of Servant-Leadership," will help participants see for themselves their God-given gifts and will help youth directors better understand their youth and how they can help the students succeed as leaders.
