Interpreting Nature Through Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Landscape Classes by Jim Gilbert, visiting instructor in environmental studies
Jim Gilbert '62 is the former director of Linnaeus Arboretum, as well as an adjunct instructor and naturalist at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. For 30 years, Gilbert taught science and was a naturalist at Hopkins Public Schools before joining Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in 1998. He is a consulting naturalist for WCCO Radio, has co-authored the Minnesota Weatherguide Calendars, written a weekly nature column that appears in several newspapers, and written several books on nature. Gilbert holds an M.S. in earth science from the University of Oklahoma.
