SafeZone's goal is to provide a more supportive and comfortable environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons, and those in the process of defining their sexuality, by identifying individuals who can provide support, information, and a safe space within the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community. Through the interactive workshops on topics such as homophobia, heterosexism, stereotyping, and ally training, the program seeks to make Â鶹ÊÓƵ, as well as the world in general, a safer place for GLBTAQ individuals.
