The 2005-06 Rydell Professor, Robert Gallo, will present a talk, titled "The Story of a Modern Plague: HIV and AIDS — Part 1: The Beginning." Gallo is a renowned expert on retroviruses and one of the co-discoverers of the HIV virus. The Rydell Professorship at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is funded by the Drs. Robert E. and Susan T. Rydell and aims to bring Nobel laureates and Nobel Conference presenters to the College for extended residencies.
