Description

Society of Physics Students and Womxn in Physics are showing the award winning documentary Picture a Scientist, followed by a panel of scientists that will speak on their experiences. The panel will include:

Darsa Donelan -Ìý

Dr. Donelan earned a B.S. in Physics and B.A. in Mathematics from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Donelan then earned a M.S. in Physics from the University of Florida, as well as Ph.D in Physics. In addition, Dr. Donelan also holds an A.A. in Fine Arts from Berkshire Community College. Dr. Donelan is a continuing assistant professor in the Physics department, while also being the faculty advisor for Society of Physics Student, Queers and Allies, The Radicals, and numerous other clubs at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.

Melissa Lynn -

Dr. Lynn earned a Ph.D in Mathematics from UCLA in 2016, after graduating with a B.A. in Mathematics from University of Chicago. She is currently a professor in the Mathematics and Computer Science department with expertise in algebra, number theory, and computer science.

Pamela Connors-

Dr. Connors earned a B.A from Bates College, a M.A. from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and their Ph.D from University of Wisconsin Madison. Dr. Connors is an associate professor and Chair in the Communication Studies department at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Much of Dr. Connors research has been investigating how public discourse can shape the development and implementation of public policy.
