Working for local and global change

We are aiming to identify and develop activities, policy changes, and programs to advance social and racial justice on our campus and in the world.

Activities & Events

Journal club is our main activity. Our field is rich with research that has increased public understanding of systemic racism and other forms of prejudice and discrimination. Reading and discussing this research will aid our own understanding and prepare us to educate others, via social media and in person. The discipline of psychological science is in a unique position to offer insight into the causes and consequences of systemic racism, as well as avenues for fighting it. Our goal is to highlight these intersections between psychology and social justice and to use our position to engage in actions that dismantle systemic racism and work toward a more just world for all people.
