Pan African Student Organization 
Purpose and Mission Statement to foster amiable relationships between ourselves and the campus at large, we, the members of the Pan African Student Organization (PASO) of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, hereby agree to: - Promote cultures of the African homeland and Diaspora - Support each other to the utmost of our ability - Uphold, cherish, and embrace cultural diversity of all its members- Love each other as we love ourselves - Welcome all members while still holding true to the practice and belief of the unity of our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls.

 

Study Away 
Many programs are available that provide immersive experiences in various African countries or communities with significant African diaspora populations. Common locations for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students include Tanzania, the Caribbean, Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa, and Senegal. You can deepen your understanding through the experience of studying away and earn credit toward the minor. Explore study away options.

 

Campus Speakers and Events
The African/African Diaspora Studies Program promotes and hosts guest speakers, artists, writers, and performers throughout the year. These events provide valuable insights into various aspects of African and African diaspora experiences, allowing you to engage with experts and gain new perspectives.

There are opportunities to compliment your coursework that could involve working with faculty members on research projects or interning with organizations dedicated to African development or participating in fieldwork that allows you to engage directly with African communities in the United States or abroad.
