All Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students are eligible to work on campus.

There are three different types of student employment awards you may see in your financial aid award letter, but all Gusties are eligible to work on campus. Some jobs may give preference to those with Federal or State student employment awards, so watch for that in the job description when you apply, or ask the supervisor when you meet with them.

  • All returning students should use view on Handshake and apply through Handshake for on campus work.

Many international students on F-1 or J-1 visas are eligible for on-campus employment.

There are multiple tiers in the student employment pay scale. Each job has a description and the pay is dependent upon knowledge, skills and responsibility for that specific job description. Each job posting will list the specific pay for that specific posting. 

 

Hiring timelines may vary between each job. Ideally, you will hear back within 2-3 business days from when you applied. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to the posting supervisor.

Student work schedules are flexible, designed to accommodate both departmental needs and your academic schedule. You'll work with your supervisor to agree on a schedule that works for both of you. 

Most students work between 5-10 hours per week, though some work as few as 2 or as many as 15. It's important to remember that your total earnings cannot exceed the amount specified in your financial aid award letter.
